Founder
A perspective shaped by real life and travel.
Behind Just Be Curious is Laura, founder of the project.
Laura has lived with a disability since 2002. This experience has shaped a very practical way of approaching everyday situations: anticipating, testing, adapting and finding solutions.
Travel naturally became part of that perspective.
A first trip in 2015 was a turning point. Two years later, a solo trip to New York during Thanksgiving reinforced a strong conviction: travelling with a disability is possible, but finding reliable and practical information can still be difficult.
Just Be Curious was born from this experience, initially as a space to share real travel experiences and make information more useful and accessible to travelers.

Over time, Just Be Curious evolved beyond travel content.
Field experience across destinations, places and activities led to a broader question:
"How does a visitor actually experience a destination?"
Not only what exists. Not only what is communicated.
But also what visitors can find, understand and experience on the ground.
This perspective now forms the basis of JBC’s work with tourism and hospitality professionals.

Accessibility is not considered as an isolated topic.
It can reveal how information, mobility, services, transitions and communication shape the experience as a whole.
A destination can be accessible without appearing accessible.
